Weather Versus Climate

This year, globally, really shouldnt have been an extraordinarily hot year. This is tracking to be one of the warmest years on record global. And we just experienced the hottest june on record across global land areas. All this makes me think about this question of a weather versus climate. i wonder what you would say is the more helpful way to think about the differences and the relationships between weather and climate.
