Using Idl to Embedded Web Assemblies
Idl was the initial moderation to use idl not only or not even not really that is close to the web or whatever but because they are fairly readable and fairly succinct there are people working on extending web assembly. People looking at making this modular or bliging this modular interface possible between the two worlds in this case being able to bridge web assembly world and outside world.
