This is the first time that Jesus is paid a visit to Elijah. We saw other occasions, especially when he fled from from Jezebel. He high-tailed it down to Mount Sinai. And then appeared to him again there at Mount Sinai. This is another Christ appearance, another Christophany in in the Old Testament.
