Shakespeare's Sonnets - I Don't Approve It
There is an extreme, pervasive discomfort, even antipathy, towards talking about shakespeare's life from the sonnets. And so they're often kind of shunted aside, siloed off, and treated as just sort of highly erudite philosophical poetry that doesn't tell us about sh Shakespeare's life or character.
