How to Create Suspension of Disbelief in Your Readers
Sometimes the book that is as good as you can make it is not as good asYou wanted that book to be. I try to start with slow investment in the characters, get you attached to them before I start laying on too much emotion from that character specifically. Give us a situation where there is nothing to disbelieve and then slowly introduce the elements to which, uh, we might challenge, but introduce them in such a way that they seem very believable. And by the end of the book, you will have boiled us alive as we have swallowed a camel.
