Is Hedonism a Problematic or a Valuable Pursuit?
Soma: I think that vilifying the body and vilifying bodily pleasures is a problem. Hedonism can take, it's derived from the Greek for pleasure, isn't it? But I would agree, it has got this sensual kind of gross bodily association. So yes, I think that hedonism is typically vilified. There's a mercantile, monetized version of pleasure which is all about splurging and showing.
