Helena and her fellow volcanologists watched the seismometer data very closely. The quakes were happening. They get closer and closer together in time, and that's what we call a swarm. And just like the rotten egg smell with the sign to start watching earthquakes, these swarms were the sign that it was time to plan a trip to the top of the volcano. This is like, just in case you didn't think scientists were actually action heroes. Hahaha. Did they hang from the helicopter on their way down?
