What Can We Say About the Dossier?
After the BuzzFeed dump of the dossier, the media then started turning around and saying, all right, what can we say about where this came from? An insured order, the Wall Street Journal identified steel as the author of the dossier. But they didn't identify fusion as the firm that had hired him. About a day or two later, the times first in late morning around 1130, post what we journal is calling explainer. And it was a story trying to explain the dossier and what it was. It explicitly said we can't say who the research firm or the author is because of confidentiality agreements with the New York Times.
