How Long Does It Take to Reach Blue Belt Level?
We wait generally a month or two before we have people spar from the feet so that they have a bit more grounding in how to fall safely. So I'd say between eight and 18 months is a safe range. We've seen people take two years and more, and everyone learns at their own level. If you're training regularly, you're healthy, you've got a good environment, good instruction... it's a fair, fair rough time. And even what we've discussed today of giving you this positional hierarchy gives you a way to categorize what you're learning. Yeah, we won't discuss Travis Stevens.
