The Death of Faith
The Marquis Desat, where we get the word sadism, said, oh, God is dead. There's no morality. Nature is all about power and therefore, and power and sex. So what difference does it make? That's basically what he said. And they wanted to sort of keep the Christian moral system knowing that Christ was going out of the world; their faith in Christ was gone. In Germany, there was a philosopher who came up with a brilliant, brilliant insight. He realized that when they started to realize that a lot of the things that we thought were true were not true.
