Chat GPT was built using a large language model, specifically a variant of the transformer architecture. The key part is the generative pre-trained transformer, right? And you zeroed in on the transformer part. I feel like every year or so, another cool architecture comes out that fixes a lot of problems with the previous one. So it's a fast moving field.
