Could life possibly survive ejection conditions, let alone the journey across space? That is the big question. And in fact, it was one of the arguments that was held against this sort of theory. Well, in fact, we can now do experiments in the laboratory. Under the right conditions, it's perfectly feasible that biological samples can survive and can be ejected off into space. The conditions must be so extreme for something to be propelled at kilometers per second, which is what escape velocity is, and to take life with it.
