When i read this, the the ling in a hammock palm, i immediately knew that this would have appealed to me at any age. I think after the age of about 16, it wasn't something that only someone in their forties or fifties could identify with. In fact, i can't help reciting the heart a part of the harding poem because it has a something in it that editors would cut the end of the poem,. Something like, america goes on laughing, laughing. And harding was a fool. Even his big pretentious stone lays him bare to ridicule. Whatever moon and rain may be, the hearts of men are merciless. The two greatest lines
