Peace not just between humans and god but among jews and gentiles, different ethnic groups. Part of the goal of the cross of christ was to reconcile both who were both jews and Gentiles in one body,. by which he put the hostility to death. This is one main reason why the dietary regulations were done away with in the new testament because of the desire for ethnic integration.
