Jewish anti fascist did not see themselves as Zionists, because they had this idea of the dynamic majority of Jews and Jewish existence being able to exist in whatever country. They were pushing a sort of by nationalist position they were against partition of Israel but then after declaration of independence they sort of were like okay well that's the, that's the state of the world now. So, for a certain period they became indistinguishable from a very mainstream Zionist consensus. By around 1950 when the Cold War started to heat up there was more criticism about their political leanings.
