If free will is an illusion, that means people cannot be held responsible for their actions because they don't have a choice. What you do have is the ability to weigh costs and benefits - so your lack of free will is why you have to be punished. So everybody who's using the word choosing or choice, you're not part of the logical argument. I can program myself to make different decisions in the future. But it isn't so much our own choices.
