The Politics of Campaign Finance Reform

Lawrence Lessig is a professor of law at Harvard University and the founder of equal citizens. He's looking to expand ideas about campaign finance reform into the public sphere. His objective is to change conventional wisdom among lawyers about whether the First Amendment permits the regulation of contributions to super PACs. The question got raised after a case called Citizens United, where the court said not only people but independent expenditure committees can spend unlimited amounts of money.
