The national PTA claims to be the, and I quote, conscience of the country for children and youth issues. This is a cult that's trying to rub elbows with the government. It's actually wild how institutionalized it is. There are these historical power imbalances in the PTA that not only exacerbate general marginalization, but also contribute to the culty PTA stereotypes.
