What Are the Most Expensive Things in Hawaii?
A lot of our budget tends to go towards basic necessities. We're a couple of thousand miles from the closest land mass, which is california. Everything that isn't grown here, which is substantial, is imported. Most people who are working jobs and paying the bills are putting their money towards housing, towards food, towards energy costs. I think there's just so much to touch on when you live in an expensive rural area, but you also can live very humbly and frugally.
