The Differences Between the Mirasol and the Intercept Systems
There are some blood centers in the United States that are doing this. It's not an overwhelming flood of blood centers doing it yet but there are some Blood Center using Cirrus product. Both companies have done extensive, extensive toxicity studies. They have looked at just about everything you could think of that might be a toxic problem from mutagenicity to carcinogenicity and methods of excretion. The results of those studies have been quite acceptable.
