Putin Quotes Iliyan - Is That Really True?

Iliyan was a Russian jurist and extremely prolific political philosopher of the early 20th century. Some call him a fascist because he did have some early flirtations and enthusiasm for both Italian and German fascism. But I'm not really sure if it's fair to actually call him afascist as such. Rather, I think it's probably that he should be thought of more as a kind of Franco-style Christian authoritarian. And one can see, particularly in times like these, how actually that's quite convenient for Putin.
