The Importance of Law Under Capitalism
For liberals, there's always the role of politics. Politics is always somehow a tainted element which interferes in the pure running of the economy. For Marxists, feudalism is chastised as an illegitimate political intrusion into the functioning of the economy effectively. There's always this risk of feudalism kind of coming back of state intervention in the market. And I don't know if you'd say that technology isn't important to increased productivity under feudalism. But from a classical Marxist view, you would need the destruction of technology to go back to a feudal era.
