Introduction
Heraclius was the emperor of the byzantine empire. He expelled the jews from jerusalem unless they converted to christianity. Heraclius is described as one of those emperors whose legacy would have been greater had he died shortly after this episode in jer Jerusalem's history. But in reality, the christians would not have allowed the jews to remain there regardless of anything heraclius decided anyway.
