The standard one would be because of continuous showing. You could turn up whenever so you could come in the middle of a film and you'd sit there in themiddle of it. That's kind of what I imagined cinema starting. Prior to that you're dependent on things like Magic Lanterns where somebody's there in front of a screen telling you a story. And occasionally the image there is the image takes you through the story but they don't move they don't connect terribly much.
