The Stolen Body Theory and the Lookalike Theory
One theory is that the guards basically fell asleep sequentially one two three out and then as they go out the disciples come along. Jesus mother was present at his crucifixion and his closest friends attested to who he was after his resurrection. The jewish community did not believe in a resurrection in the middle of history for one person. They believed that when the messiah came all people would be resurrected and the world would end.
