The Future of Decision Making by Machine

If you admit that you made a decision by intuition, you open yourself up to accusations of subjectivity or bias. The important distinction here is again that between risk and uncertainty. If there is a stable world, a well-defined world, then algorithms will perform much better than humans. But in a world of uncertainty, where tomorrow is not like yesterday, big data doesn't help you. So these are basically insights, meaning that complex algorithms based on big data work best in a stable world but not in an uncertain world.
