The author of women and worship at corinth is taking three passages in 11 to 14, where i thinka there's a pattern of of a rhetorical argument and marked by an inconsistency in meaning. And the more i've reflected on that, the more i suddenly thought, actually, i think that he's just engaging his opponents here,. The worst ideas in this passage are theirs. That's in the tongues and prophecy passage. Well, paul's given you a big lead up to what he thinks tongues is, and what he thinks prophecy is. He says exactly the opposit.
