Are Weird Edge Cases?

I imagine some humans only have organisms are going to end up being counted as animals by his light. It depends on the ways in which they respond to stimuli, whether that would elevate them to perceiving animals. I think that's at least controversial. They're weird edge cases. Now recognizing those kinds of cases wouldn't require you to have something other than this linear hierarchy. The nice thing about the linear one is there's one relationship you need to understand. If it was like branching off there'd be a little more difficult to know why they all occupied positions.
