The Role of Genetics in Oxytocin Levels
People in low circulating oxytocin tend to be much less interested in forming relationships. So no, and that seems to be controlled by to the classic nature and nurture debate. There are some genetic underpinning to that, particularly oxytocin receptor gene variation of which we know a lot about. But genes are not deterministic, so just because you have a gene that suggests you have lower circulating Oxytocin doesn't mean it will come out.
