Welsh Kings and Wives of King Hoole and Griffith
The rulers of wales, like many of their neighbors, had a habit of playing fast and loose with the church's mandate for monogamy. Griffith defeated hoole in battle, kidnapped his wife and married her. We're not told what she thought of this; it's a good guess that griffith probably cared as much about her wants as he did about the wants of the people of dehibarth. But considering that there's no record of wife number one being set aside or dying, it is possible that gruffith decided to keep both.
