What Was Hayek Saying?

In the late 1930s, Joseph Stalin and Adolf Hitler were admired for turning their economies round. Hayek was opposed to a program of British labor party which wanted to do exactly that kind of central planning. But it turned out to have a huge audience in the United States because Franklin Roosevelt never wanted central economic planning. So Hayek's original thoughts gave birth to an economics branch.
