Quantum Computing and Information Theoretic Concepts

When you open a book about quantum computing, it's really quantum theory dressed in some computer science language and I'm very happy about that. But on the other hand, if I look at this from the information theoretic point of view, it would be much better to have a theory that's only expressed in terms of information theoretical concepts. So for example, when you talk about entanglement or when you talks about the quantum advantage that comes with a certain algorithm, it wouldbe nice to be able to explain just in terms of Information Theory why these things are different from their classical counterparts.
