"I have no ability to see that there could not be a reason for particular evils and suffering. What happens is, maybe i just don't see what the reason is and have no idea what it could be," he says. "If you know them, if you can see them, then then you are going to think about evil through the lens of a perfect foundation." 'There would be a problem if somehow you could show for sure that there couldn't be a good reason for some particular instance of suffering,' she adds.
