As a part of the merge, you also have DVT distributed validator technology. DVT allows multiple participants to run nodes that contribute to one validator. And then it essentially splits up the private key between these actors so it doesn't exist in one machine. So for example, if you have four nodes all contributing to onevalidator, really you only need one of those nodes to be online for it to achieve uptime.
