I'm a big fan of journaling and I think that what Joan Didion said about keeping a notebook is There's the real value in keeping in touch with previous versions of yourself Seeing where you've been Kind of helps you know where you're going. For me personally, I realize just how repetitive and cyclical my life is how I find myself at the same points I've been before. So when I get bottomed out I just kind of pretend like I'm Phil a groundhog day There's no there's no tomorrow.

"I should have picked up Steal Like an Artist a long time ago."

That was the thought that ran through my mind as I read the 10th anniversary edition of this work by Austin Kleon from cover to cover to prepare for this very special bonus episode of A Productive Conversation.
