The Martial Races of India

The term the british used is marsial races, m a r t i a l marshal. It was used to designate certain ethnic supposed ethnic groups in india. One of these was the six and the jarts and the gurgers. The pashtoons may have been included in this,. And also the gorkas if i am not mistaken. So that's why they created these various regiments named after various so called martial races. Doesn't make any sense cally and scientifically.
