Designing Objects, Not Games
The idea essentially is we can encourage play if we give you rewards for doing things we want you to do. A lot of times when we add restrictions, the response we get from some of the audience is, why? Why are you runing our fun? And so in general, design, when you design any normal object, not not games, an example i often go to as a lamp. If i am a a designer that design lamps, i want that lamp to be as easy to use as possible. I want it to be easily noticeable and obvious what's on and what's off.
