How Did the Second Wave Come About?
In the late 1980s, there was much more focus on global environmental problems. The Bronvans report in 1987 popularized then the word of sustainability. This was the time where you could establish new organizations in this field. And at the time, the interest was overwhelming. So you can say the field was really carried by this second wave.
