Is It UnIslamic to Enforce Morality in This Way?
Iran is the most secular society in the Middle East. It's probably the most secular Muslim majority country in the world. To back down on the hijab means accepting that the revolution secularized Iran, and I think that's a very humiliating thing for the authorities. The Islamic Republic would be stronger to do away with this.
