The New Guidelines for Cordae Artery Disease Revascularization

The surgeons here have sort of blazed a new way forward that I really like that is they have published the sets of swords. Now there was also an issue about too much emphasis in the new guidelines for radial artery access and I'm going to leave that out of the discussion because it's pretty specific to surgery. A recent sub-analysis of the esprit trial further strengthen the argument for stopping aspirin especially in the elderly when it's used for primary prevention. Let's go over some of the specific outcomes of this sub-analysis first stroke 4.7 versus 4.6 percent. So no difference. A schematic stroke 11 percent lower in the aspirin arm but it did not reach statistical significance.
