The Proud Boys' Marching Order to Stop Voting
The phrase stop the steal was actually originated all the way back in 2016 by Trump's advisor Roger Stone. The day after Election Day, crowds of Trump supporters started showing up at polling places in states that were still counting ballots. On Fox News, false rumors of election fraud were promoted by host after host and broadcast to millions of viewers. Alex Jones, who prided himself on getting Trump elected in 2016, took on a key role in the stop the steal movement.
