The Romantic Counter-Fertition

Gerard Winstanley was a member of what was called the diggers. They won a nice day in April 1649, decided that they were going to just occupy a piece of common land. He is clearly very sacramentalist in the way he thinks about the world. In his view, Christ has reversed the effects of the fall and we should return to communal property.
