HTC Vive has hand controls. Oculus originally didn't have that, but they later implemented it. The HTC Vive is in almost every sense a VR device, but it also does augmented reality because it has a front-facing camera. So you can do some AR things with it. And then the final element, just to sort of finish out these toys and gadgets that are coming together is quantum computing and a higher power GPU. That's what would really allow those elements to interact with each other. All of these things are coming together to create this single gigantic revolution all at once.
"We are now in the midst of the largest technological revolution of our lifetime. Like that of the dawn of the PC or smartphone. It’s not so much of a prediction as an observation we can make. We can see that it’s actually happening before our eyes." – Austin Knight
