Each of us comes out of our childhood with one of two stronger needs. For some, having the unknown next to us is really an opportunity for more discovery and exploration. But we also want to feel that we are in very known and safe territory. We tend to find somebody else who inhabits the part of us that we would like more of but would just as well leave to the other to take care of. Do you understand that? I will find a person who has the other side, because I'm drawn to it,. That way I can pretend I want different than continue to be the same.
