The Pandemic in the Global Supply Chain
Pandamic has helped to trigger a cascade of problems in the global supply chain. One just keeps leading to another, says maritime economics expert stavros caram paridis. At the moment, we're having a big back lock of vessel skewing outside the ports because port's productivity has dropped by nearly 40%. The average time for the vessels to get into the port is approximately two weeks. There are dozens of cargo ships just sitting in the water waiting to be unloaded.
