The self is a constant characterization of how we would like to be seen by other people. We will change the nature of that character depending on the circumstances. The fear of rejection is so much that we just, you know, we can't abide that. Our happiness is is reflected by those around us. And this is a problem of the way that we think about the self as an individual.
In this episode we discuss the self and interview Bruce Hood, author of "The Self Illusion." Also, at the end, we eat a chewy chocolate chip cookie and discuss therapeutic touch.
