We've Got to Fight, Right?

I think that Western democracies and freedom depend upon an underlying foundational reason, if you like, for us to say whether I disagree with that person or not. And that's our problem. On what basis now in this post-Christian age do we find an answer to the question of how do we get on with people when we deeply disagree? You really end up in a cynical place. The difficulty I have is I can't sit here and go, I think we need to rebuild trust in the institutions because I don't see them as trustworthy. But we have to be honest and say that a lot of damage has been done and how you unwind that damage, I think is a very,
