What Is the Political Realignment?
Political realignment is the rise of a new political party or set of ideas that dominate the agenda for a significant period of time. Realignments lead to the rise of new electorates, like what we saw with Johnson in 2019 and what I think we've seen since the Brexit referendum. We can see similar shifts in America, the Republicans becoming very successful among working class, non-graduates also working class Hispanic Latino voters. And so all realignments are about demand and supply.
