Is It Possible to Be in a University and Do Anything Ethical?
The central problem being if we are this skeptical about corporate capture and the ability of massive corporations to be acting more on motives of power than purely about profit maximization, how can you possibly be a sort of appropriate moral subject within a system like that? And obviously it's different depending upon where you are in that system. I find myself kind of wanting to tell people who work at EXALN or Blue Cross Blue Shield like you got to go. Like don't do that. Especially if you work in things that actually contribute towards large scale injustice.
