There was very little evidence found at the crime scene. Without physical proof, it can be challenging to try some one for murder. The availability of rinsic anything was pretty slim compared to now. It was the wild west. And not even the 19 thirties. By 19 27, only 19 states allowed women to serve on juries and tex wasn't one of them.
